This beginner oil painting painting class will introduce you to the fundamentals of oil paints, including color mixing, brush techniques, and basic composition, all while encouraging creative exploration and fun. Please bring your own art materials.
Materials:
- Oil paint (red, blue, yellow, white) I like to use cadmium yellow, cadmium red, phylo blue or ultramarine blue, titanium white
- Gamsol or mineral spirits
- Linseed oil
- Brushes
- palette and palette knife
- Canvas or canvas paper
- Optional: Easel if you would like to stand
